We are often asked; when should a child be brought in for their first dental visit?
As soon as you're comfortable bringing your child by the office, we'd really like to meet them, we love children.
Dentally speaking though, you should bring them in for their First Checkup around their First Birthday. Many of their primary teeth will have erupted and we should have a look and ensure everything is as it should be.
These early visits are also great for getting your child comfortable with the sights and sounds of our North York Dental office. At this stage we can start to monitor their oral development and address any concerns that you may have. We can determine your child's fluoride needs and proper diet for oral and physical health. We can also help you select an appropriate toothpaste, tooth brush and demonstrate their proper use.
Kaydental's team of professionals including certified specialists in dentistry for children and orthodontics, along with Dr. Stephen Kay, our family and cosmetic dentist, are here to guide you and your family's oral health at every age.
Our fees are based on the most current Ontario Dental Association fee guide for General Practitioners for general dental services and the most current Ontario Dental Association fee guide for Specialists for specialty dental services.

At Kaydental, we believe that a fair fee is one of the key features in building a strong patient-doctor relationship. At our North York dental office, we follow the suggested fee guide for General Practitioners from the Ontario Dental Association (ODA) in order to maintain pricing stability and keep patients in the know about the price of every service and product they pay for.
If you have any questions about the costs of any of our dental services, please contact us so one of our staff members can clarify and guide you through the price determinations.
