February 2022: Tips, eNews & More!

February is the shortest month of the year, which may be a blessing since it signifies the end of winter is drawing near. It is also a great month to spend time with our loved ones with upcoming holidays like Valentine's Day (February 14) or the Family Day long weekend (February 19-21)!

Did you know that February is also Heart Health month? Heart disease is the second leading cause of death in Canada and affects over 2.4 million Canadian adults. Many studies have suggested a link between poor oral health (gum disease in particular) with cardiovascular issues like heart disease. While more research needs to be completed before any definitive link can be established, experts are sure that good oral health is a factor in overall health and wellbeing.

We hope you are still on track with any New Year's resolutions and are taking care not only of your overall health but also of your oral health. If you haven't checked in with us this year yet, don't forget to book an appointment so we can make sure your oral hygiene is on the right track!

We hope you have a safe and healthy month,
